  1. Summer $1 Movie (almost no charge) @ Fallen Timbers at 10am- This week’s movie, The Boxtrolls
  2. Historical Tours of the Manor House @ Noon- Enjoy a free guided tour of this over 30,000 square foot, Depression-era home and learn about the region’s rich history or walk through the first floor in your own time. After touring the Manor House, save time to walk through the Ellen Biddle Shipman Gardens or walk the trails through the spectacular grounds of Wildwood Preserve.
  3. Hero Magic with Rory Rennick @ Mott Branch Library (Meeting Room A & B) 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM All heroes exercise some power. Some powers and abilities are magical; while some are practical. Join Magician Rory Rennick for a fun magical program that highlights the heroics of reading. 

Wednesday, July 13th

  1. Summer $1 Movie (almost no charge) @ Franklin Park 16 at 10am- This week’s movie, The Boxtrolls
  2. Brown Bag Concert 12:15-1:15pm- Fossil Creek (Bluegrass) Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy!! Concert is located on the North Lawn of the Main Library, 325 Michigan St., in downtown Toledo.
  3. Super Science: A Journey into Space at South Branch Library (Meeting Room) 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Join former NASA Education Specialist, Reed Steele, as he leads us on a space adventure. This event engages children through the universe using experiments, demonstrations, and hands-on audience participation activities. Join us for lots of super science fun!

Thursday, July 14th

  1. Summer $1 Movie (almost no charge) @ Franklin Park 16 at 10am- This week’s movie, The Boxtrolls
  2. Toledo Museum of Art- kiddos can build in the Imagination Playground (10am- 5pm), create & play in the Family Center 10am-3pm (Theme: Chalk), and learn & observe a Glass Blowing Demonstration in the Glass Pavilion (2-3pm)
  3. Improv-a-palooza: Making It Up as We Go 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Washington Branch Library  -One of the more vibrant forms of theater involves two or more actors just making stuff up without a script. Kind of like life, only with an audience. We’ll play around with the idea, amusing one another with the same kinds of games they use at Second City. This is how Tina Fey, Will Ferrell and Steve Carell got started. Come dressed to move.

Friday, July 15th

  1. Outdoor Family Movie Night 8-10PM (Downtown Perrysburg Louisiana Avenue at West Second Street) Free family-friendly film night…Free popcorn, refreshments and pre-film entertainment. Bring your chair or blanket.

Saturday, July 16th & Sunday, July 17th

  1. Saturday Concert Series at Ottawa Park – (6 PM – 8 PM) East River Drive (Las Vegas show)
  2. Sunday @ 7:30pm Music Under the Starts (Theme: Fun & Games) is a great summer tradition in Toledo. With the Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre as your setting, you can unwind on a warm Sunday evening as you enjoy great music performed by the Toledo Symphony concert band. Each show features a fun musical theme that your family is sure to enjoy, and admission is FREE! While admission gates for these free concerts open at 6:00 p.m., the Toledo Symphony requests that the Amphitheatre does not open for guests to begin seating until 6:30 p.m. Guests entering in the Broadway Entrance during this time will be encouraged to visit our Concessions stands in the Main Plaza to grab some ice cream or a snack.
  3. Saturday & Sunday -Kite Flyers Weekend- Join others for Kite Flying Weekend at Maumee Bay State Park. Enjoy the beach, pack & enjoy a picnic, fly a kite or sit back and enjoy all the kites already flying.

Monday, July 18th

  1. Summer $1 Movie (almost no charge) @ Levis Commons 10am- This week’s movie, Sandlot
  2. Stevens Puppets presents “Rumpelstiltskin” @ Heatherdowns Branch Library 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM -Humor, artistic staging, clever effects and dramatic climax combine to make this a truly memorable marionette production. These wooden marionettes have been entertaining children and adults for over 70 years.
  3. ZUMBA Kids @ Locke Branch Library 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Kids learn dances and play dance style games with ZUMBA Teacher, Elaina Hernandez. Be active! Come out and jam to your favorite music. Grades K-5.
