Tuesday, July 19th

  1. Summer $1 Movie (almost no charge) @ Fallen Timbers at 10am- The Sandlot
  2. Park It! At Bowling Green City Park (520 Conneaut Ave. Bowling Green, OH 43402) – Starts at 6pm & movie begins at 8pm. Evening consists of an Outdoor Concert, kid’s activities, sponsor giveaways, followed by a family-rated Movie under the Stars. All FREE!
  3. Astonishing Body Science @ Kent Branch Library 3-4PM Learn how to make your thumb “disappear”, make yourself the strongest person in the room, “mind bend” a spoon and more while enjoying snacks and amazing your friends.

Wednesday, July 20th

  1. Summer $1 Movie (almost no charge) @ Franklin Park 16 at 10am- The Sandlot
  2. Brown Bag Concert 12:15-1:15pm- Rodney Parker and Liberty Beach (Country/Rock)-Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy!! Concert is located on the North Lawn of the Main Library, 325 Michigan St., in downtown Toledo.
  3. Fitness Fun with Chemistry @ Reynolds Corner Branch Library 2-3PM -On your mark, get set, EXPERIMENT! Our friends from the Toledo Local Section of the American Chemical Society bring hands-on chemistry fun and activities about fitness and nutrition. What makes balls bounce? What fuels your body? The answers are bound to provide an “element” of surprise!

Thursday, July 21st

  1. Summer $1 Movie (almost no charge) @ Franklin Park 16 at 10am- The Sandlot
  2. The Lunch at Levis concerts @ Noon-1:30pm- This week is Johnny Reed & The Houserockers (FYI- they typically have at least six food trucks every week, and, within a three-block area of Levis Square, & at least six restaurants).
  3. Toledo Museum of Art- kiddos can build in the Imagination Playground (10am- 5pm), create & play in the Family Center 10am-3pm (Theme: Ancient Alphabets), and learn & observe a Glass Blowing Demonstration in the Glass Pavilion (2-3pm)
  4. Stevens Puppets presents “Rumpelstiltskin” @ Maumee Branch Library 10:30-11:30AM- Humor, artistic staging, clever effects and dramatic climax combine to make this a truly memorable marionette production. These wooden marionettes have been entertaining children and adults for over 70 years. This program was made possible by the generous support of Directions Credit Union and The Library Legacy Foundation.

Friday, July 22nd

  1. Historical Tours of the Manor House @ Wildwood Preserve Metropark at Noon- Enjoy a free guided tour of this over 30,000 square foot, Depression-era home and learn about the region’s rich history or walk through the first floor in your own time. After touring the Manor House, save time to walk through the Ellen Biddle Shipman Gardens or walk the trails through the spectacular grounds of Wildwood Preserve.

Saturday July 23rd & Sunday July 24th

  1. Saturday- Too Many Moose! Storytime Children’s Storytime @ Barnes & Nobel Fallen Timbers-11:00 AM When Martha gets an unusual pet, she’s delighted by all of the fun things they do together. If one moose is this marvelous, then more must be better! Join them as they read about this madcap moose adventure with activities to follow.
  2. Saturday Concert Series at Ottawa Park – (6 PM – 8 PM) The Good, The Bad & The Blues (Blues)
  3. Saturday Outdoor Movie Night at Commodore Schoolyard (140 E. Indiana Avenue Perrysburg, OH 43551) – Pixels (PG-13) 106 min….bring a chair or blanket.  No admission fee.  In case of inclement weather, call the O-Deer Diner at (419) 874-7070 or check their Facebook page.
  4. Sunday @ 7:30pm Music Under the Starts (Theme: Just Dance) is a great summer tradition in Toledo. With the Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre as your setting, you can unwind on a warm Sunday evening as you enjoy great music performed by the Toledo Symphony concert band. Each show features a fun musical theme that your family is sure to enjoy, and admission is FREE! While admission gates for these free concerts open at 6:00 p.m., the Toledo Symphony requests that the Amphitheatre does not open for guests to begin seating until 6:30 p.m. Guests entering in the Broadway Entrance during this time will be encouraged to visit our Concessions stands in the Main Plaza to grab some ice cream or a snack.

 

Monday, July 25th

  1. Summer $1 Movie (almost no charge) @ Levis Commons 10am- Norm of the North
  2. Paddle on the Pond at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve Take a float on the pond! Canoe, paddles, life preservers, & instruction are provided. There is no charge & they supply EVERYTHING you need. This is a FREE event…Canoes first-come, first serve basis. Starts at 4pm on and goes till 7:30pm. Participants arriving at 7:30pm may paddle until 8pm.
  3. Fossil Park located at 5675 Centennial Road, Sylvania, Ohio (Hours 7:30am- 90 minutes before Sunset) Travel back in time 375-million-years ago when Northwest Ohio was a great sea teeming with life. Bring a brush to assist in cleaning your fossils, as well as something in which to carry your buried treasures home with you.
