Cinco de Mayo Agua Fresca for kids

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

As you know I am all about living life to the fullest, each day is a gift, a blessing to be enjoyed and what better way than to celebrate with the kiddos!

In honor of Cinco de Mayo I made the kiddos Strawberry and Lime Agua Fresca (fresh water) with their lunch. And they about lost their minds when I said I was going to blend them a special Cinco de Mayo beverage (Non-alcoholic). See, in our house the beverage options are often limited to water, or water. So, it really didn’t take much to make this a special beverage. But if you are a mom who blends on a regular basis you might have to step it up a notch and add an umbrella or other embellishment to your child’s beverage.

“I say all the time that every moment we have to live our life is a blessing. So often I have found myself taking it for granted. Every hug from a family member. Every laugh we share with friends. Even the times of solitude are all blessings. Every second of every day is a gift. After Saturday evening, I know I truly understand how blessed I am for each second I am given.”  ~ Jessica Redfield (Gwahi), a victim of the Aurora shootings on her last blog post before the incident describing a close call she had with death weeks before Aurora.

To celebrating all life’s blessings….cheers!
