How quickly one forget how beautiful and irritating Christmas Break can be, it’s kinda like childbirth, all you remember in the end is the beauty, the miracle, and magical moments. So much so that you can’t wait till the next one! And then it happens, day one of Christmas Break and just like that first contraction of the second birth, it all comes flooding back to memory. This time I am going to have a plan, and unlike my birth plan this is one I can guarantee will come to fruition.
I literally have my planner out right now and am planning at least one outing a day until Christmas. I figure after Christmas they will at least have new toys and games to play, books to read, memberships to venture out and use, etc. I should also stipulate that when planning these excursions I am keeping two things in mind, budget and the novelty of the experience. My latest obsessions, headbands & literary classics! Headbands because I adore a little something that makes it look like I actually tried to do my hair, lol! It doesn’t get any better than a messy bun and a headband. 
And literary classics, the kiddos and I have decided that from now on in the evenings, in addition to saying the Rosary we will be reading a chapter or two out of a classic book that has also been made into a movie. Thus, once we have finished reading said book we can have a family movie night and then discuss how the book and movie differed.
I am happy to state that we followed through and our first book we completed was The Little Prince. Last Friday we watched the movie and then discussed the similarities and differences once everyone stopped crying, yes, it was that good! As my son stated, in-between tears, “that was the best book and movie I have ever heard and seen”. I am not going to lie, that put a huge smile on this momma’s face.

This morning I find myself deeply conflicted. I am sitting her, sipping coffee, and literally daydreaming about leggings, yes, I said leggings! I fear I may lose all self-control. My willpower is weakening by the hour. If I don’t give them away soon I am busting those suckers open and wearing them!!! You are probably thinking I have officially lost it, and perhaps I have, but I don’t want to go back to the way life was pre-LulaRoe!! My obsession started a couple days ago.
The leggings arrived in an ordinary, kinda plain, quiet, packaging, totally the opposite of the items held within. I tore that sucker open like a kid on Christmas morning. No tip-toeing around the adhesive side gracefully opening it, nope, when I was done with it you couldn’t even make out what it was originally. But I couldn’t help myself, I could hear the loud screams of the stylish leggings held within, I had to set them free, I had to see the funky, fun, fashionable designs! It was love at first sight! But wait, it gets better!
I tried them on and it was unlike any experience I have ever had with a pair of leggings! They were so unbelievably comfortable!! They felt the way my naked legs used to feel before I got married, when I would spend a crap load of money on fancy razors, shaving creams, and lotions, when I used to shave my entire legs. They were so silky smooth, like butter!! Clearly this was a match made in heaven because only the angels could have created something this magnificent! I never ended up taking that first pair off, I couldn’t go back, I had experienced comfort on a heavenly level; there was no way I was going back! I wore them all day and not once did I have to tug, adjust, or remove a wedgie. I was officially hooked and it wasn’t just me, they also have them for little girls. My little fashionista has request her entire wardrobe be LulaRoe!! (She slept in her legging, I had to beg her to take them off for bath time).
So you are probably wondering why the conflict? These LulaRoe legging sound amazing, why would I be remotely conflicted? Because I have two sweet pair sitting up on my nightstand right now, they look amazing, feel amazing, but they are not for me, I am going to share….I. AM. GOING. TO. SHARE!….I might still be trying to convince myself of that fact! I am not a selfish person, honest, I share everything, clothes, food, house, everything but my pillow & toothbrush (those are sacred!), but I fear I may have to add my LulaRoe to that short list! You can’t judge if you have never tired a pair, you just wouldn’t understand! Thus, I wasn’t going to run this giveaway until next week but my willpower is weakening by the hour! Last night marked the first ever Mom on the go in Holy Toledo Ladies Night Out!!! And it was an absolute blast!!!
The evening started with a fun little game that got the ladies mingling. Everyone had an index card pinned to their back with a name of a popular chick flick written on it. The object of the game was to mingle around the room and ask others yes or no questions in order to receive clues to help solve the mystery of the movie title pinned on their back. After our love affair with KEEP Collective I had a little surprise for the ladies, a pop quiz on chocolate, Ireland, and even a few random questions. And I do believe I stumped them on a few, the winner, the person with the highest score, which was 8/12 won one of the beautiful painted wine glass samples that Uncork the Artist provided. Which transitioned us into the final event that evening, we painted wine glasses!!
