As the keeper of Fulton County’s rich history, the Museum of Fulton County has planned a 175th birthday celebration with free admission to the museum along with cake and punch for all museum guests! Many other organizations across the county have also planned activities throughout the year to celebrate 175 years of history and pride in the Fulton County community.

From 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1 guests of all ages are welcome to tour the Museum of Fulton County for free. Museum guests will have an opportunity to explore the “All Aboard” train exhibit and the new “We The People of Fulton County” exhibit highlighting the ten largest groups of immigrants that came to the county to make a new life.

“Fulton County was founded on April 1, 1850 with the motto, ‘I will find a way or make my own,’ and that spirit continues today,” shared John Swearingen, Jr., director of the Museum of Fulton County. “Through the ups and downs of life, the residents of Fulton County have never given up on their goals. They “find a way” or “make their own” and we look forward to celebrating this historic birthday with our neighbors and friends throughout the region!”
