And yes, we get it—“self-care first!” (If I hear that one trending on TikTok one more time…lol).
But let’s face it: going out? It’s a LOT of work. You’ve got to snag a sitter, prep dinner for the kids, write down bedtime instructions, set up tomorrow’s chaos so you don’t regret tonight, and somehow make yourself look presentable…a.k.a., put on a bra. Then there’s the money, because yes, moms, a night out can cost you a few weeks of your beloved Grande Frappe Latte budget.
After all that effort, pretending to enjoy your fancy cocktails, possibly losing a friend over a stolen babysitter, and rocking an uncomfortable bra, you get home and immediately raid the fridge for emotional support in butter pecan coffee form. Moms Night Out Remorse is real, y’all. It’s like buyer’s remorse…only worse. You’re out time and money.

Walk-in Throwing (No Reservations):
- Friday: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM (last start at 10:00 PM)
- Saturday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM (last start at 10:00 PM)
- Sunday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (last start at 7:00 PM)
- Cost: $20 per person for one hour
- Note: Walk-in lanes limited to 5 throwers
Group Reservations (2-Hour Lane Rentals):
- Cost: $35 per person for 2 hours
- Group Size: 6–12 throwers per stall (2 side-by-side lanes)
- Includes: Dedicated Axe Master for the duration
- Booking: Reservations required; call 419-351-2102
Sunday Special:
- $150 for up to 6 throwers for 2 hours
- Additional throwers: $25 per person
- Multiple groups share one Axe Master

My Experience…
I arrived, and my inner voice immediately went off: “You can’t throw an axe…you can’t even throw a ball properly! You’re about to be on the nightly news: ‘Local Mom Blogger Kills 3 While Attempting Axe Throw.’”
But then I signed the waiver, met the awesome instructor, and it was go time. My nerves? Off the charts. But I Women-ed Up and threw that axe. And let me tell you, I transformed. I walked in a nervous toddler about to pee herself, and I came out like Braveheart: “They may take my youth, my flat stomach, my bladder control, my nights, and my money, but they will NOT take my FREEDOM!”
I had an absolute blast and can’t wait to go back.
UPDATE: I’m officially obsessed. I might only hit the bullseye once every ten throws, but the thrill is unmatched.
