As the first forest school in Northwest Ohio, Forest Time Kindergarten is proud to welcome children between the ages of 3 and 6 to an education that will provide them with lifelong skills and friendships.

Our classes are held almost exclusively outside and children are encouraged to learn through their greatest tool: play. By exploring nature in its purest form, through all types of weather, Forest Time Kindergarten provides children with a safe environment to grow and learn. Our goal at Forest Time Kindergarten is to create a setting in which child-led learning takes precedent and adult supervision is there to guide and assist. WHAT CAN THE FOREST DO FOR YOUR CHILD?

A play-based and child-guided education, our outdoor classroom encourages a love of learning in children from a young age. Our curriculum is focused on creating a relaxed and mindful environment where children practice empathy for each other and all of nature. Forest Time Kindergarten provides children with: -A safe environment to grow -Child-led learning with adult guidance -Life-long love of the outdoors and learning -Organic Vegan snacks provided -Learn how to take care of others and the Earth -Learning outside is the perfect place to incorporate STEAM learning.

FOREST TIME KINDERGARTEN (Ages 3-7)

Our main programming at Forest Time Kindergarten revolves around the ages 3 to 7. Sessions run for 12 weeks, you may choose up to 3 half days a week: Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: 9:00-12:00. Each class provides a vegan snack, often cooked over an open fire on those chilly fall and winter days, and a well thought out curriculum filled with nature inspired themes and education. Classes are capped at a teacher-student ratio of 2:7 so spaces are limited. Please register on our website today to secure your spot.

IN-TWO THE FOREST (Toddlers)

In-Two the Forest provides toddlers with an early experience of nature with interactive lessons on safety, risk assessment, and learning through nature-play. In-Two the Forest is not a drop off program with the purpose of involving and teaching parents the Forest School movement lessons In-Two the Forest provides education on the importance of play in child-development and learning, risk assessment, outdoor safety for adults and children, as well as instilling a genuine love for nature and the Earth. It is our goal to create stewards of the Earth through our programming and by educating children from a young age we are able to accomplish just that.
