“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!” And it turns out that quote from the movie Elf is 100% accurate! Many of us have elderly loved ones, parishioners, fam, friends, and/or isolated neighbors. That can take its toll on anyone, add in the fact that it’s literally “the most wonderful time of the year” when everyone usually gathers and spreads love and joy together and it’s just darn right depressing. So, to help bring some Christmas joy to friends, parishioners, and loved ones who are isolated, why not do something totally outside your comfort zone. It doesn’t matter if you are tone-deaf, pitch-compromised, often off-key, or are like me and legit singing the wrong verse half the time, belt out those Christmas songs for all to hear! ‘Tis the season to spread Holiday cheer! And what better way than surprising neighbors and friends with a fun box full of goodies? “You’ve been Elfed” is similar to the, “You’ve been Boo-ed” concept.
Picture it, doorbell rings, dog barks, you rush to the door & no one! Are you the victim of the ding-dong ditch? Nope. There on your front step is an adorable red bucket with a green bow filled with Christmas treats, you’ve been Elfed! Elf-ing neighbors and friends is a fun way to spread Christmas cheer especially this year when gathering for holiday parties, to decorate cookies, etc. is out of the question.
