Temps are rising, days are getting longer, & summer is just around the corner! Grab the sunblock, beach towels, and snacks, and get the kids to a splash pad, waterpark, or pool! Here’s a guide to some local and surrounding area pools, splash parks, and waterparks find a favorite to frequent all summer or challenge the fam to hit them all! As always call before you visit to confirm hours of operations and admission.

Defiance Ohio FREE Splashpad

The Corner Park

Run and play on the unique Splash Pad! Enjoy water cannons, dumping buckets, and water galore! Kids of all ages will spend hours immersed in play!

Swim in the 25 yard Outdoor Pool with Zero-Entry & water bubblers for toddler fun!

Kids will love the Jumping Pillow! It’s a massive pillow, measuring 35-feet wide by 70-feet long, & has room for as many as 30 people to bounce on it at the same time!

No outside food or drink is permitted in The Corner Park. Concession Café is available.

Plymouth Dream SprayScape

Toledo Zoo Aquarium Adventure Trail Cool Zone

Located between Penguin Beach and Primate Forest, near the Zoo’s Broadway entrance and the entire facility is ADA accessible and is included in Zoo admission.

(The Cool Zone, or the Wet Side of the Adventure Trail, may be closed if the forecasted temperature for the day is not slated to get to about 70 degrees. The Cool Zone is only open between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend, and will close for the season after Labor Day).

Float down the lazy river, catch a wave in the wave pool, or take a trip down one of the awesome water slides! The Activity Pool is popular with younger children due to its zero-depth entry, gentle bubbler, geysers, a waterfall and a kiddie slide for children under 45″ tall. Relax in the chaise lounges and sand chairs on an extensive sun deck located throughout the water park and natural shade or shade umbrellas in several grassy areas surrounding the deck.

Guest amenities include first aid services, bathhouses with restrooms, showers, diaper changing stations and coin lockers.

Independence Lake offers a large sandy beach (over 300 feet long) and a clean swimming area. There is a shower at the beach for your convenience after your swim. Enjoy more water fun at Blue Heron Bay for a nominal fee.

Independence Lake’s Blue Heron Bay is the perfect place for some fun in the sun! Whether you are playing on the water play structure, gliding down our new water slides, or just 0 catching some shade in the rentable pavilions, there is something for everyone! Your kids will be sure to have a great adventure with the water jet spider, cattails, and buckets. The concessions area is a great place to take a break from all the excitement while enjoying a hot meal and a cold drink.

Located on the corner of Telegraph and King Roads, this is an enclosed splash pad, has a shaded area and a sitting area for parents. Lockers are available on-site; all children need to be accompanied by an adult. No food or beverages are allowed on the splash pad deck. Pack a picnic lunch, there is an awesome playground….so make an afternoon of it!
