Focussing On Your Own Health and Happiness for a Change

When you become a parent, your priorities completely change. This is because your responsibilities completely change. Having a little one in your life means that you’re suddenly responsible for the health, happiness, and wellbeing of an entire human being who is entirely dependent on you. This can be great and, of course, we wouldn’t change it for the world. But you do need to remember that amongst the school run, arranging hobbies, going back and forth to activities and clubs, preparing healthy meals, homework, and then your own usual chores, you do need to make time for yourself. All too many parents constantly put themselves on the back burner and brush their own needs and preferences under the carpet while accommodating everyone else. You do need to focus on your own health and happiness on an ongoing basis. Of course, this won’t be at the detriment of anyone else around you.
