Those suckers really are good–and lucky for me, my kids tend not to like my favorite flavors so I can have them all to myself LOL My oldest son reacts to artificial dyes but he LOVES suckers. I first found these at Better Health stores but I saw them recently at Meijer for half the price so that made me pretty happy :p It never occurred to me to look for a facebook page so thanks for pointing it out so I could go like it :p
Hey Piper and the Kids…Happy Halloween! I am happy to read that mommy gets to have some candy too…I love it when the kiddos detest the candy I enjoy, lol! I did not realize YumEarth was a Meijer’s, I have been purchasing them from The Fresh Market but I will be looking for them at Meijer’s from now on. We are starting potty training soon with our youngest so I need to stockup, lol! My hope is that one day artificial dyes will be gone, a mom can dream. Good luck Piper winner will be randomly selected soon!
I was so excited to see them at Meijer :p much easier on my budget! I just hope they continue to carry them.
I don’t even need them to get rid of dyes completely–I just want the system they have in many European countries where foods with dyes have to have a warning label :p most companies just go ahead and make their products without the dye because who wants a big ole warning label on the packaging?
Good point! I would also like that…maybe one day?

I like all three Facebook pages. I liked the green/shrek ears. Just too funny. My kids can’t have artificial dye so we were so excited to find this candy. We buy them at Fred Meyer but they only come in small bags.
When my son was younger he had a horrible allergic reaction to red dye. From that point on I look at the ingredients carefully. To be honest, I am really shocked at how many foods, processed foods, have red dye in them…and in medicines too, like Benadryl, which was how we eventual determined what was causing the allergic reaction in the first place. You think you are helping your child when he is having an allergic reaction by giving him Benadryl only to find out that we were making it worse because it had red dye in it! Sorry to rant, I just wanted to express how sympathetic I am to your kiddos allergies and how frustrating it is that dyes are in everything! But not YummyEarth….and they taste so much better than all that artificial stuff! Good Luck Noreen, winner will be selected soon!
We are lucky that S only has behavioral changes and not an allergic reaction but he reacts to all the dyes. And dye is in so many things where there is really no reason for it to be there–blue dye in white marshmallows, red dye in chocolate syrup…..crazy!
Crazy is right!
i liked all 3 fb pages and i like the shrek ears a lot!
