Eight-acre natural resources park with FREE fishing and each kid is guaranteed to catch a fish…which might not be a big deal for country folk but for us city folk it is kinda a big deal. In fact, it was at the Ohio State Fair that all 3 of my kiddos fished for the first time. They learned how to bait their hook, cast, and reel in their bite. It’s a memory the children and I will treasure for a lifetime.

Kids will also enjoy the FREE petting zoo and the opportunity to see live animals being born.

There are FREE entertainment stages featuring live music, amazing hypnotist, impressive magicians, and fun wholesome family-friendly shows.

And don’t even get me started on the food, omg! There’s an endless variety of fair food favorites, some local faves, and more!

You name it and the Ohio State Fair more than likely has it….

Our favorite thing to do is visit the ODNR area ! Cool things to do and always good shows to watch !
Agreed, amazing shows! Thank you for sharing. You’re officially entered, fingers crossed, love!
Honestly the food is what came to mind first, but a close second is seeing my kids faces light up seeing the animals and riding the rides with their siblings.
Omg, yes! I’m with you, the food is amazing…and of course watching the enjoyment on the kiddos faces is priceless! You are officially entered, best of luck love!
The best thing about the fair is seeing the animals and eating fresh cut fries!
YES!! Those fresh cut fries with vinegar…my mouth is watering just thinking about them, lol!
Shared on Facebook! I always loved getting the I’ve cream beside the dairy barn and seeing the cheese
Looking forward to fishing and fair food!! Shared on Twitter:)
We are looking forward to my daughter competing with her 4H project at the State Fair the most. And of course, after that, the food and just checking everything out!!
We have never been! We’re most looking forward to watching a friend show her pig. And a course the food!
Always looking forward to the food, eating at the fair!! Haha
My daughter will be competing with her 4H project, and then we’ll be finding some great food!
Congrats to her…and best of luck! That’s awesome!
Thank you! 😊
Favorite things about the fair are always the milkshakes and the giant butter sculpture. This will be our first time taking our son (3) to the fair and he is so excited because he is going to be able to trade most of the rides
