Married 4 months shy of 20 years? Ex-spouse’s name has officially been removed from the title of the house? Pizza cutter, ice cream scoop, knives, pots & pans literally falling apart? Sole parent of three teenagers? Yes, yes, and yes! Thus, I am finally the sole owner of my home after going through the past 3 crazy years. The dilemma now becomes, divorce party or housewarming party?

It’s mental health month and many of you know what I’ve been through over the past 3 years (I am a devout catholic, a proponent for marriage, married 19 years, the victim of financial abuse, the victim of emotional abuse, served divorce papers, turned advocate, a survivor of financial and emotional abuse, officially divorced January 5th, 2023).
