  1. The family gets to visit a foreign country minus the expensive flight!! Talk about exciting!!  Fall16And, though the terrain doesn’t change much on the other side of the Ambassador Bridge the kiddos will make some fun observations; suddenly the speed limit is measured in kilometers, the temperature is defined in Celsius, not Fahrenheit, & our kiddos’ favorite, different money!!Fall19

Fall3The observation deck at the foot of this 13-storey-tall wonder will leave you breathless (and maybe a little bit wet), Fall7but don’t forget the viewing portals cut straight through the rock, offering a once-in-a-lifetime view of one-fifth of the world’s fresh water crashing down in front of you”. • The last time I was on the Canadian side of the Falls was in 7th grade! I’d love to take my kids there when they are older!!

    • This was my first time on the Canadian side and I was blown away by all the awesome amount of things they offer that are family friendly….I personally prefer the Canadian side to the American for that reason. We will totally be going back!!

    • There are no silly questions 😉 When driving to Canada a valid U.S. passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies requirements for U.S. citizens. Children under 16 need only present proof of U.S. citizenship via copy of birth certificate. It did take 4-6 weeks to receive my passport and roughly same amount for my hubby to get his card (though he wished he just opted to get his passport updated…he’s going to Mexico on business and had to go through the process all over again. So if you do plan on traveling over seas in the next ten years I would recommend just updating your passport-saves time & money in the long run). Safe treavels, love!
